How to solve the blockage of hydrocyclone?

In recent years, hydrocyclone is widely applied in mine developments for classification and concentration. The blockage would cause the low efficiency of classification. People should check and maintain for normal operation in this situation.

Hydrocyclone is suitable for treating fine materials (Particle size: 0.25-0.01). If there is a part blockage of feed pipe, the materials cannot flow out from the apex. If there is a part blockage of overflow pipe, the cyclone would not be formed, and the most of slurry flow out from apex.

How to check the blockage of hydrocyclone

1, there is no slurry flowing out from overflow pipe and underflow pipe. The reason is that feed pipe is totally blocked.

2, the flow rate of overflow is very small even 0, and the underflow flow out by straight line. The reason is the part of feed pipe is blocked.

3, there is no slurry flowing out from apex, and the flow rate of overflow is normal. The reason is the apex is blocked

4, overflow is small, and underflow is large. The underflow spouts from the middle to around.  The reason is overflow pipe is part blocked.
